Summary

Review:

Donota De Luca (don) has a successful business with a happy and loving family..He runs a bar/restaurant...With his well organized work, he has branched catering for important people, getting him an order for a mafia don 'The boot', it is the birthday party for his niece, from then on nothing goes as per don's wish.. He is summoned the day after for a discussion with Boots, he is shocked to hear the accusation against him of stealing money, worst he is given 4 days to pay back with 50% interest...He slips away from him for the moment rushes home to find some solution to get over the situation...To get over it he flee from Newark to the southern coast settling down in the hope of escaping his past and a new identity to get on with his life..But in the new found place he is taken as a mafia don, there after his life takes a turn , from being one among the crowd becomes the player, he does it well in a good way until his past in the form of mob get after him..All he is left with is his determination, and the will to safeguard him and everything he holds dear...

Isabella Don's wife is swift in making decisions to help her family and husband, even at the discovery of her 15 year old daughter Julia's pregnancy, she acts quick and comes up with plan to save them from shame...There are arrays of places reader is introduced to Italian vineyard, the long journey to Beaufort..Connie, Beppe and the Italian restaurant Papa Don's that they set up all  fill in with the Beafort ambiance well..Julia appears a bit out of place here and there, yet provide the lead for the novel...Julia falls in love with Paul , he is gay and gets murdered devastating her...Don goes on to help people becoming a true leader, winning them with his kindness..The novel ends in a positive note..

The accent is native with few characters, writing is crisp and clear..It is kind of book you'll finish in one sitting...Best for a short travel...
